How to get from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) to your hotel

Compare prices and travel times for the best transfer options to Manila

Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), commonly known as NAIA, is the main international gateway to the Philippines and Metro Manila. It consists of four separate terminals (T1, T2, T3, T4) that are not connected airside, making navigation between them challenging. Located on the edge of the city, MNL is close to the major business districts of Makati, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), and Pasay, but travel times are heavily influenced by Manila's complex traffic conditions.

Book Private Transfer

Want the easiest arrival from Ninoy Aquino International Airport?

Pre-booking a private airport transfer works best when you arrive late, have lots of luggage, or just want a driver waiting at arrivals instead of comparing taxis and rideshare lines.

Meet-and-greet
Driver pickup details are arranged in advance.
Better for late arrivals
Useful when transit options slow down at night.
Fixed upfront booking
Easier to compare than airport taxi queues.

Grab (Ride-Hailing)

Grab is the most popular and reliable way to travel between the airport and Metro Manila. There are dedicated Grab pickup booths and zones at all four terminals. You can book using the airport Wi-Fi, but having a local SIM or eSIM is recommended for easier communication with drivers. Fares are transparent and upfront in the app.

Pros

  • Upfront pricing (approx. PHP 300-500 to Makati/BGC).
  • Dedicated pickup points at every terminal.
  • Safer and more reliable than regular street taxis.

Cons

  • Surge pricing during high demand or rain.
  • Wait times can be long during peak arrival hours.
  • Subject to general road traffic congestion.

Airport Taxi (Yellow / Coupon)

There are three types of taxis at NAIA. Official 'Yellow Airport Taxis' are metered and strictly for airport use. 'Coupon Taxis' offer a fixed rate based on your destination (ideal for large groups or fixed budgets). 'White Regular Taxis' are the cheapest metered option but are generally less regulated and may have older vehicles.

Pros

  • Available directly curbside at all terminals.
  • Coupon taxis offer fixed rates (no traffic surprises).
  • Yellow taxis are generally better maintained than white one.

Cons

  • Yellow and Coupon taxis are more expensive than Grab.
  • Regular white taxis may try to negotiate higher 'fixed' fares.
  • Meter continues to run in stationary traffic (except for Coupon).

UBE Express (Airport Bus)

UBE Express is a premium point-to-point (P2P) bus service connecting Terminal 3 to major hubs like Makati (One Ayala), Entertainment City, and Roxas Boulevard. These buses are air-conditioned and offer more space than local transport, though routes and schedules can change frequently.

Pros

  • Cheaper than a private taxi (approx. PHP 150-200).
  • Comfortable seating and luggage space.
  • Direct routes to major hotel clusters.

Cons

  • Less frequent than Grab or Taxis.
  • Primarily operates from Terminal 3.
  • Not ideal for those with many large suitcases.
