6 Bookable Johannesburg Airport Lounges (JNB): 2026 Guide
Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) has a straightforward lounge split once you know your flight type: domestic lounges are in Terminal B, while the bookable international lounges are in Terminal A after security and immigration. A well-rated lounge in the wrong terminal is not a usable alternative.

Domestic lounges in Terminal B
Both domestic choices are airside in Terminal B. They are intended for passengers departing on South African domestic flights, not for international departures from Terminal A.
- Bidvest Premier Lounge (Domestic Terminal B): After security, find the escalators behind the sweet and card kiosk and go down into the lounge. Bidvest lists showers, light meals and snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi, work booths and baby-changing facilities. It is the more complete starting point for most domestic passengers.
- ORT Sky Lounge (Domestic Terminal B): After security, turn right and take the lift to the fourth floor; the lounge is on the left. It is smaller than the main Bidvest domestic lounge and focuses on seating, refreshments, Wi-Fi and flight information.
Tip:Domestic means Terminal B.The ORT Sky and domestic Bidvest Premier lounges are only for domestic passengers. If you are flying internationally, continue with the Terminal A choices below.
International lounges in Terminal A
The four bookable international choices are airside after security and immigration. Their locations and hours differ, so the best option depends on your gate and departure time.
- Bidvest Premier Lounge (International Terminal A): On the Terminal A mezzanine above the south end of the Duty Free area. Bidvest lists 24-hour operation, showers, snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi and meeting booths. This is the safest first check for a very early or late international departure.
- Aspire Lounge (International Terminal A): Airside on the Duty Free level just before Gate A7. Aspire lists complimentary food and drinks, Wi-Fi, charging, quiet space and day beds. Check its current hours before relying on it for a late-night flight.
- Shongololo Lounge (International Terminal A): After immigration, head toward Gates A7-A18, pass the Air France Lounge and take the escalator; the lounge is on the left. Plaza Premium lists showers, workstations, refreshments and Wi-Fi.
- Mashonzha Lounge (International Terminal A): Follow signs toward the Emirates Lounge through Duty Free, then turn left at the top of the escalator; Mashonzha is on the right. It offers seating, Wi-Fi, food and complimentary drinks for international passengers.
How to choose between the Terminal A lounges
Use departure time and gate direction to narrow the choice. Bidvest Premier is the clearest option outside normal daytime hours. Aspire is convenient near Gate A7. Shongololo is on the route toward Gates A7-A18, while Mashonzha follows the Emirates Lounge direction through Duty Free. Confirm the lounge hours and the maximum stay shown for your pass before paying.
