Curated selection for Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)

6 Hotels Found
Spain
Unlike many major hubs, Barcelona El Prat (BCN) has limited in-terminal options. The only true on-site accommodation is the Sleep&Fly in Terminal 1. For most travelers, the best strategy is to stay at one of the business hotels in the nearby Mas Blau business park, which is connected by a free 5-minute shuttle ride.

Transit Tips for Barcelona (BCN)

Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2

The only true in-terminal options are the Sleep&Fly cabins (also known as Air Rooms), located landside in Terminal 1. If you are flying via Terminal 2 (low-cost carriers like Ryanair/EasyJet), there are NO hotels inside. You must take the free green shuttle bus to T1 or stay at nearby hotels.

Business Park Shuttles

The closest full-service hotels are in the Mas Blau business park, just a 5-minute free shuttle ride away. The most popular option is the INNSiDE by Meliá Barcelona Aeropuerto (formerly Tryp), which offers modern rooms and frequent transfers. Another excellent choice is the BAH Barcelona Airport Hotel, known for its rare outdoor garden and pool setting.

Airport Logistics & Tips

Why Stay Near BCN?

Barcelona BCN has two separate terminals. T1 (Iberia, Vueling, Long-haul) and T2 (Ryanair, EasyJet) are 4km apart. Staying at an airport property like Sleep&Fly (Inside T1, formerly Air Rooms) or the BAH Barcelona (Shuttle) is a literal life-saver for the frequent 6 AM departures. The airport zone is also the unofficial home of the Fira de Barcelona exhibitors, offering much better value than the inflated prices of hotels near the Gran Via during major trade shows like MWC.

The 'T2 Train Only' Trap

A common mistake for first-time visitors landing at T1 is following signs for the 'Train.' BCN's only train station is at T2. If you are in T1, you must use the complimentary emerald-green shuttle bus (Bus de Trànsit) which circles the airport 24/7. It takes 15 minutes to reach T2. If you're in a hurry to reach T1, the Aerobús or Metro are safer bets than the train.

Sleep&Fly: The Only 'In-Terminal' Option

Located on the Floor 1 Business Center of Terminal 1, Sleep&Fly (formerly Air Rooms) is the only property where you can wake up and be at the check-in desk in 2 minutes. For all other properties, including the Hyatt Regency and Novotel, you must rely on the hotel's individual shuttle service, which usually runs every 20-30 minutes.

Tips

The Aerobús price has increased to €9.75 for 2026—buy online to skip the driver queue. If you have a 3-day 'Hola Barcelona' card, the Airport Metro supplement is INCLUDED. For a local food hack, skip the overpriced terminal sandwiches and visit the staff-friendly cafes in the Terminal 1 landside area before passing security.
