Is the National Bank Lounge right for your flight?

Choose this lounge if your boarding pass is for an international departure outside Canada and the United States and your gate is in the international zone from 50 to 68. YUL specifically says passengers on Canadian or U.S. flights cannot access it.

Check your assigned gate before paying for access. Montreal Airport's secure departure zones are separated, so a lounge in the international area is not a practical fallback for domestic or transborder passengers.

Where is the National Bank Lounge?

The lounge is airside near Gate 53 in the international departure zone. Complete security and follow signs toward the international gates.

The airport currently limits access to passengers whose international flights use gates 50 to 68. A gate change can therefore affect whether the lounge is reachable.

Opening hours and visit length

National Bank currently lists the lounge as open 04:00-22:00 every day, although it notes that hours can vary with expected airport traffic.

Current access conditions allow entry up to three hours before departure. Capacity restrictions can still apply, particularly at busy times, so a pass does not remove the need to confirm your gate and arrive with enough time for boarding.

Tip:Temporary lounge from October 2026.National Bank plans to close the current lounge after 22:00 on 4 October 2026 and open a temporary lounge near Gate 53 from 5 October. The dates may change. The temporary space is expected to have reduced capacity and shorter standard visits while the main lounge is renovated.

What is inside?

The lounge offers meals and snacks from a buffet, hot and cold drinks, wine, beer and spirits. Wi-Fi, power outlets and digital newspapers and magazines through PressReader are also listed.

It works best for food, drinks and a quieter wait before an international flight. The official facility list does not advertise showers, so do not choose it primarily for that purpose.

How can you enter?

Eligible National Bank World Elite Mastercard holders receive complimentary access and must present their physical card and boarding pass. The published card benefit includes one guest and up to two children aged 12 or younger.

Paid access is also available for eligible international passengers. Compare the current pass terms for your travel date rather than relying on an old walk-up price, since rates and capacity can change.

National Bank Lounge or another YUL lounge?

National Bank Lounge is a strong independent choice near Gate 53. The Desjardins Odyssey, Air France and Aspire lounges are alternatives in the international zone, while eligible Air Canada passengers should compare the international Maple Leaf Lounge included with their ticket, status or membership.

For a domestic flight, use the domestic Aspire or Air Canada options. For a U.S. departure, choose a lounge in the transborder zone instead.

Not departing through YUL's international zone? Compare the airport's domestic, international and U.S. transborder lounge options.
